Fellowship Program

• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• All majors welcome
• Must commit to at least one full semester (15 weeks)

To apply, please send an email with your current resume and Panther ID to Dr. Daniella Long at dlong@fiu.edu. Applicants will be notified via email to schedule an interview via Zoom. 

• Commit 10 hours a week for at least 15 weeks
• Attend at least half of the scheduled events during the semester
• Serve as an ambassador for the Institute at public events and forums
• Participate in a Ferre Institute Committee (Academic, Fundraising, Engagement, Communication).
• Assist with social media & Panther Connect
• Create a virtual portfolio

Students selected for an interview should prepare to answer questions based on the following topics:

1. Knowledge of the public sector and nonprofit fields.
2. Understanding of contemporary civic issues.
3. Ability to highlight their qualifications, skills, and experience.
4. Ability to utilize technology.
